Space Allocation Timeline and Procedures
Tuesday, September 8, 2009:
Applications are available at Student Involvement (200 Nebraska Union or 300 Nebraska East Union) beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
Friday, 5 p.m., October 9, 2009:
The deadline for applications is Friday, 5 p.m., October 9, 2009. Applications will only be accepted by Student Involvement on City Campus, 200 Nebraska Union. Only completed applications will be reviewed. Late applications will be considered in order of arrival. Preferential treatment is not given to current space users.
Thursday, November 5, 2009:
The Nebraska Union Board Space Allocation Committee makes recommendations to the Nebraska Union Board at the Thursday, November 5, 2009* meeting at 5 p.m. in the Nebraska Union.
Thursday, November 19, 2009:
Nebraska Union Board hears appeals for Space Allocation. Appeals to the Nebraska Union Board can be made at its Thursday, 5 p.m., November 19, 2009* meeting in the Nebraska Union.
Move-in date:
Presidents and advisors of organizations are notified by email when office space is available for occupancy.
*The Nebraska Union Board meeting schedule is subject to change.

November 14 - November 21
Exterior paving should be completed around the building. Drywall work and painting will continue inside, particularly around the grand stair. Ceiling installations will continue through the building with flooring installation following. Terrazzo flooring will be installed on the ground level. Mechanical/electrical/plumbing installations will continue with trim out. Information systems and A/V installations will begin. LEED commissioning activities and preparation for equipment startup will also be taking place.
November 7 - November 14
Exterior paving work will be completed around the building; fence will be removed. Drywall work and painting will continue inside, particularly around the grand stair. Ceiling installations will continue through the building with flooring installation following. Mechanical/electrical/plumbing/special systems installations continue and will move toward trim out now. LEED commissioning activities and preparation for equipment startup will also be taking place.
